Examples of Implementation
Knowledge Transfer Meets Immediate Web Redesign Needs
Client:
Wake Forest University – Robert C. Johnson Foundation – Substance Abuse Policy
Location:
Winston-Salem, NC
Challenge:
A two-fold challenge: 1) The immediate redesign of the Substance Abuse Policy (SAP) Web site that included implementing a database and a secured area for SAP resources to share information. 2) The need to transfer web development skills to employees.
Opportunity:
By improving the usability of the site, users will be able to access information quickly and effectively. In addition, the site will provide key information to the employees of the foundation who are separated by distance, and who frequently share information via floppy disk.
Solution:
- Co-developed a new site with the SAP staff
- Introduced a content management system that gives the SAP staff the ability to publish content and make changes to their site
Outcome:
Reduced production costs by implementing a content management system that eliminated the reliance on external contractors.
